An AI chatbot handles initial patient calls for orthopedic practices, screening who needs hip or knee surgery, who should talk to a nurse, and who needs a physician assistant. It automates scheduling and triage so surgeons spend less time on admin and more time operating.

we presented our own AI, which, and then we kind of brought in one or two that Mark knows to kind of give them a full suite. I'm not sure if the strategy worked, but it was an interesting conversation. Open up, you know, kind of find the weak point and get into a system like Surgery Partners to focus on how we can bring efficiencies to them on, say for example, scheduling. So for example, the patient interacts with a chatbot we can phenotype the patient and then really work out quite quickly whether they should be seen, whether they are a good candidate for elective surgery on, for a hip or knee, or where they should be seen by, for example, a nurse or a physician assistant. And yeah, trying to show how we can essentially free up time for surgeons to do more procedures based on these efficiencies, both pre and postoperative. And then in turn, we actually try to sell that solution to the medtech, to the ortho medtech folks.
