Tiger Buford explains how early ortho startups can access state-level grants for six-figure funding. These grants are limited and work best after you've raised from friends and family. Leah Winter is cited as someone who has successfully secured them.
I think the good news is it's free money, and especially at the state level. The bad news is, you know, it's, it's not a lot of money. You know, it's usually, it's usually 6 figures, you know, but it's real free money with no strings attached.
Usually you get somebody who knows how to write it properly and whatnot. And I, I would, I think that the money is not as available, or there's not as much available as there, as there used to be, but it might be a good place for for a small startup to, to, to begin. I mean, once they've exhausted friends and family.
You know who was pretty good at, you know, who was pretty good at getting grants was Leah Winter.
