In this product overview, the presenter introduces the CytexOrtho hip preservation system as a "smart osteoarthritis fix" that restores joint anatomy and function from day one. The solution combines two proprietary components: a 3‑dimensional woven textile—developed from research at Duke University—and a true 3‑dimensional printed layer. Together, these materials are integrated during manufacturing to mimic the native cartilage and bone tissues. By replicating the joint’s natural structure, the implant can immediately restore anatomy, then slowly absorb, transferring its functional load back to the patient’s own tissue as inflammation and osteoarthritic erosion are addressed.

So we call this a smart osteoarthritis fix because we can restore the anatomy from day one functionally. And it's, and we're working with two components here. This 3D woven textile is our secret sauce and kind of what got us started on our journey when I was at Duke University. And then we marry it to this true 3D printed layer that the combination of which that we, that we integrate during the manufacturing process mimic the native tissues of cartilage and bone. And this is important because whenever you have inflammation in the joint and you have osteoarthritis, that leads to deterioration of the joint surfaces, that leads to erosion. And in order to be successful, we have to restore that anatomy and then we absorb slowly and transfer that functionality to, to native tissues.
