Read your sales emails out loud before sending them. Your brain skips over mistakes when you type, but hearing the words catches awkward phrasing and tone problems that kill your message.

You would be amazed at the things that you discover when you just have to go through the exercise of reading out loud what it is that you wrote. I don't mean whisper to yourself. I mean in a speaking voice at the normal tone that you would talk to somebody else. And there's so many things that come out of that. I still make sure to do that on important emails or anything like that that you know needs to resonate. I will sit here and read things out loud just to make sure you're not— it sounds like what you want it to say because there's definitely things that get lost from your brain to your finger.
