Jack Gardella explains how to work around Value Analysis Committees when your rep can't get direct access. Bring in a trusted colleague, a "bird dog," to ask tough questions and challenge the committee on value. If it goes badly, you can blame an outsider and protect your relationship.
So the challenge is, you know, they don't let us get in front of the value analysis committees like, like you used to be able to.
And the, you know, the thing is the rep doesn't want to go over that person's head because they could, they could shoot themselves in the foot. So guess, guess who does it? I'm the bad cop. You, so I'm, I'm the guy who's gonna go above their head and say, okay, is this valuable to you? And if it is, you know, we need, we need to, we need to, you know, proceed down this path.
Yeah. And if it goes bad, we just deny and say, Jack doesn't work for us.
I've, I've had people say, don't bring him back again. You're welcome here. But that guy, that Gardella guy, don't bring him back. But, you know, I, I, I think it's a matter too of understanding what's in it for every individual that's on that, on that value analysis committee.
