Alyssa Huffman warns against magnesium spinal cages because they generate hydrogen gas, form cysts, and trigger inflammation that degrades the spinal cord. She argues magnesium's real promise is regenerating myelin sheaths in nerves, especially for diabetics, not as an implant near the central nervous system.

I would seriously stay away from a spine cage. When it's next to the central nervous system, you have hydrogen gas creation, you have cyst formation and an inflammatory response that might get you into a world of hurt. And 'cause I think you definitively have a brand, particularly in trauma, but you do one product and it causes inflammation and it causes a degradation in the spinal cord and you're in trouble. I would say in bone, in bone and vascularization, VEGF formation, you know, you know, like nutrient supply protection of the, the nerve endings within the bone. I honestly think if I were you, the myelin sheath is a big deal because there's a lot of nerve and vascularity that occur inside bone, particularly in diabetic patients. The magnesium helps regenerate that myelin sheath surrounding the nerve. It's a much better campaign in my opinion, because nobody discusses it.
