In this informal, outdoor video, venture capitalist Tim Draper joins James and a founder (Speaker A) on a hike near a waterfall in Utah. The conversation drifts between casual banter about the scenery, meditation, and the challenges of hiking, before transitioning into a live pitch for the founder’s startup, Active Center Healthcare. The founder describes the product as a flexible, workflow‑centric layer that sits beneath existing electronic health record (EHR) systems, aiming to prevent data loss and improve patient care. Draper references his travel itinerary across the United States, his background with Draper University, and his interest in connecting the founder with experienced healthcare investors, mentioning a contact nicknamed “Clown of the World.” The video blends a relaxed, nature‑focused setting with a spontaneous venture‑capital pitch, highlighting Draper’s willingness to engage with founders in unconventional environments.

It's gonna look like this, except for it's gonna be all of you beautiful people.
Down the stairs and out on the lawn right here.
Okay.
Neuroscience-based meditation.
Oh, is that right? To make better decisions, to reconnect to what lights you up.
I'm doing a hike. Going on the hike, baby.
Gonna get muddy.
Are we gonna be able to swim?
You can if you want to.
Excelente. Excellent.
Oh, Tim, look, we're losing them. We gotta hold up.
Let's pick it up, baby. Your startup hat needs speed.
Yeah.
There must be water somewhere because this is a big water bath. This is a gorgeous hike.
I know.
There's some kind of new bird here for James. Hey James, there's a Sherma thrush here. Sherma thrush. Okay, this is tricky. Whoa, there we go. Tricky for the old guy. Pretty beautiful. You can eat off of these trees. Yeah, I'll bet there's some papaya, a little coconut.
I mean, I've done this so many times, but yes, I think we have to turn around. Sorry, gang.
Fail and fail again. Ooh, downhill is going to be trickier. I can tell. I think I should have brought my machete.
All right. Do you hear it?
I hear something.
Yeah.
Wow.
Are we crossing the river? Oh, so cool. Where exactly were you gonna swim?
Right in this pool at the base of the waterfall.
Is that a pool?
Probably ought to get rid of my microphone before I take the shower. I might get electrocuted. Is there a better pool? Oh my God, look at that.
Who wants to pitch me? Anybody want to pitch my pitcher glove? Then come on up. It's Active Center Healthcare. It's going to support Active Center. Well, the thing is, the current thing is the data electronic record. What this is, is kind of lays underneath, wraps everybody who does everything at the level of a really flexible workflow center with unbelievable functionality on top. So is it helping? How does it help the patient? That's how I run it. Okay. So, on the tracks, nothing gets dropped. That's probably number one. Oh, I see. Yeah. Oh yeah, that makes total sense. Yeah. So that's the big thing for them to say. But they also take a piece in a lot of stuff. So if you know anybody who's got 10 years of experience, patient healthcare investor, that's what I'm looking for. Because we're healthcare investors, but mostly on the bioscience side, not on the hospital side. Well, we did invest in, uh, we did a peanut health so that we could introduce you to Clown of the World. Okay, he's Clown. Okay, tell me, he was a peanut one time. Okay, so remind me, okay, we shared the water. Well, I will. I'll introduce you to Clown of the World. Great. Okay. All right, let's go.
All right, we have gone from the From the Ford factory, which now is being shut down, to the top of the mountains in Utah, we are covering the United States of America from sea to shining sea and past that to the shining islands of Hawaii.
Hawaii, baby! It's awesome!
Now we gotta work our way down. Well, this is a great creek hike, very much like what we do at Draper University.
