The excerpt is from a talk/interview (speaker labeled SPEAKER A, likely Mike Knoop) about building trust within teams; the speaker emphasizes the importance of getting people together in person for about a week to accelerate trust, and stresses consistency and repeatability in how team members execute and think.

We had a similar philosophy in the early days where we thought it was very important to get people to hang out with us for a week, primarily to build trust. I think trust is one of those most important aspects of any kind of team you're building. You wanna be able to trust the person's gonna be consistent, repeatable in how they execute and how they think. It's just a lot faster to build that trust if you can do it in person.
