In this product demo, Heidi Yu and a secondary speaker explain BoostInsider, an influencer‑marketing platform that enables everyday social‑media users to become paid promoters for brands. Since its launch in September, BoostInsider has recruited about 100,000 influencers—90% in the US, primarily 18‑27‑year‑old females—and helped over 300 brands generate more than $1 million in revenue. The platform offers a free version where brands can post product listings, add photos or videos, and tag relevant hashtags to attract influencers. Influencers can discover products, share them on their channels, and earn money for each promotion. Brands access a real‑time dashboard that aggregates who is posting, engagement metrics (likes, comments, clicks, installs), geographic traffic sources, and allows direct communication with influencers. The speakers highlight four dominant influencer types (fashion, mommy bloggers, tech/Kickstarter enthusiasts, gamers/Twitch streamers) and illustrate use cases such as product launches, app beta feedback, musician promotion, and early‑bird user acquisition. The narrative positions BoostInsider as a cost‑effective alternative to expensive macro‑influencers, emphasizing scalability, data‑driven insights, and the ability to generate organic brand awareness, SEO, and PR through micro‑influencer activity.

So BoostInsider is a place that everyone can be social media influencers to promote the brands they like and get paid. So since we launched last September, we already have 100,000 social media influencers and helped 300 brands with more than $1 million in revenue, which is awesome. So how does the little video here—
They talked about cool products and got paid big bucks. I also talked about cool products, but I'm not a celebrity, so I never made any money. But actually, I was pretty effective at recommending products too. Boost Insider was created for the everyday influencers like me. Now I can get paid when I recommend products to my friends, like the new Banana Watch. Justin is making money for recommending his friends Boba Cola, and Thomas is getting paid for tweeting about Game of Boom. I'm finding out about new apps and cool products all the time through Boost Insider. I can go ahead and share what I think is cool on social media and get paid. This is the future of advertising. We represent the brands we care about. We are influencers.
So we're doing this, really, we want leverage. So many, many, many influencers.
Yeah.
Yeah, you can make some money there. So to see how powerful really you are on social media. So, so far we have 100,000 social media influencers. 90% of those guys are living in the US. So we're covered like North America and also some European countries who speak English, maybe India a little bit. Age, they're young like you guys, 18 to 22, 27. A lot of females. So the most popular 4 types of influencers are people who love fashion, love, they are mommy bloggers, they are geeky guys who want to talk about Kickstarter stuff, or gamers. They are Twitch guys.
Yeah.
So, yeah, so it's really, really cool that we were like, oh, this is cool. Big influencers are so expensive. What if we have a lot of everybody, everyday influencers to work together on stuff. And it's more affordable. Sometimes we will do that for free for you if we don't have money. They just, oh, this is cool, I'm the first one to explore this. This is awesome. So they would do that. So, so far we already helped more than 300 brands and every day we're happy with the results when our clients share story with us. So, how's that work? A little bit about how we work is that, So if you want to explore your brands, we also have the free version. You can really launch your products there to tell people what it's about, where to find your product. It's similar to Product Hunt, but you can nominate yourself to be there, to tell people, oh, this is cool, influencers, check me out, and you will like this. So Booth Insider, we will help you to tailor a little bit with your content. If you have good video or good photos, put it there. Those are very helpful. So influencers, oh, also you have the hashtags to say, okay, fashion, maybe like pilots, I don't know, helicopter, airplane. So they will find your product, they're like, oh, this is cool, I will check it out, and they will become your first bunch of users. Those are like early bird guys. Oh, this is so cool, definitely I'm going to experience this. So as a brand, BoostInsider, we will have the dashboard to you. So actually, so you don't have to chase those people one by one. You're like, okay, who are the people who are posting for me right now at this moment? What do they say? And what do their followers say? And how many engagements I have? How many likes I have? And you can also talk with those influencers through our dashboard to say, hey, awesome job, this is cool, or something, oh yeah, that's not exactly what our promo code is, not that. or something, so you have the dashboard to see how many people are promoting for your products, how many likes you have, and how many clicks you have, how many installs you have on a daily basis in real time. And also you can also see where those traffics come from. Are they from US or are they from, not really China, but are they from India or are they from somewhere else?
Is this purely product-based, like something that you're selling or It could be like creating a platform. Totally, totally.
Anything you want. Yeah, anything. So anything you want people to talk about, you want so many people to talk about, you can try this out. You're like, okay, this could even be a video. So we helped a lot of musicians, like rap guys, they have music on YouTube, they want everybody to check it out. They just put it there. Or some people have an email that you want people to sign up early, early bird before you launch waiting list, or you want people to experience some sort of, give you the feedbacks. Download your app, say, hey, I need feedbacks. So probably you can try that out. So you can see from all those traffics, where are they from and what type of devices those people are testing out. Sometimes when you are building a product, you think people might use PC more, but eventually you see, oh, everybody's from mobile. So, I should definitely focus on my mobile app more than the web browser app. So, that time, so you already have so many feedbacks. People are like, actually, this stuff sucks. I don't want to promote this. This is not cool. But you get the first time information, they're like, I'm getting confused. I don't like that yellow color. I want something different. Or you have those content already created online, so brand awareness is covered. Also that content is there, so SEO is also covered. And also PR. Those are so many mini PRs, those bloggers might just pick it up. Thank you.
