All right. I'm going to pause here really quick and talk about some really exciting stuff that we've been doing. So we recently released a feature-length documentary film. Anybody aware of this? Yes.
OK.
So one person is. So I'm going to play a quick trailer preview of this film so you guys can see what it's about and why we've made this film completely free. The reason for making this film completely free is really just to broadcast to the world that design has really disrupted pretty much every industry. And if you think about it, billions of people every single day with their thumb choose one company or another. They make a vote every single day. Uber or Lyft? Facebook, Twitter? It really— I mean, if you think about it, the power that your thumb has in this world today is pretty incredible. So the reason why we developed this film is really just to kind of elevate the concept behind why design has disrupted so many different industries. So I'm just gonna play that trailer right now so you guys can take a look.
Art and design are completely different. Art is about making questions. Design is about making solutions. So in art, you can make something that doesn't make any sense, which is okay. In design, you have to make sense.
I really didn't get fascinated with design until I started to learn what it was and what it could actually do.
It's not pixels, it's not the nitty-gritty and using Photoshop or whatever tool you want. It's the act of intentionally solving problems.
I think of design as like a bridge that like on one side you have something very complex, could be a technology, and on the other side you have a person. Design is that thin layer that connects complexity to meaning.
The biggest challenge designers are facing right now is the fact that they're Designing a lot of things that are new, that have not been done before, in organizations that are evolving and changing, for audiences that are evolving and changing.
It's a time where there's a ton of competition, and that raises the stakes for the better experience.
We will have to learn to adapt and think about creating experiences in new ways. More and more companies are really valuing the end-to-end experience.
A lot of the really disruptive companies chose not to play by Now that we realize the importance of design, now it's like, you gotta show the results. All right, so if you guys are interested in getting a free copy of the prescreening release, I can kind of work with your organizers and get you guys a copy of that and have the film viewing here. Glad you guys liked that.
