Tim Draper discusses how iDos Games is tackling the hits-driven games industry. The company focuses on emotion-driven design for smaller titles and is expanding its ecosystem through partnerships with IT universities.
Games are so much a hits-driven business. Very few of them take off and become really, really big, and all the rest just go away. I'm kind of wondering whether this model is going to work given those constraints, because the smaller games don't seem to make it. And the $200 billion, those are the big games.
Game development, it's not just about like entertainment. And sometimes people think that making games is quite like easy, but it's all about the emotions. What emotions do you bring to a person?
We are increasing our ecosystem.
We are now collaborating with IT universities and we already like have an MOU with 3 of them.
