The excerpt is a first-person reflection by Rodrigo Barros, CEO of Handson.tv, who draws on his experience as a soccer player to describe constant physical pain, his mindset of perseverance, and a problem‑solving approach (assess whether a problem can be fixed today, postpone action to a week, or accept what can’t be changed). The clip emphasizes passion for life, resilience, and ends with the question, “What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in your life?”

As a soccer player, I used to work as hard as shit. Because to become a professional player, you need to work like crazy. So I've never played a game without a pain. Just, just understand that. I've never played a game without a pain. The pain in my ankle, the pain in my knee, doesn't matter. The pain in my back, doesn't matter. So every game that I was like, whoa, let's go, let's go, let's go, I was feeling pain. And we feel pain, right? I'm feeling some pain right now in my life. Don't believe— I mean, even I have all this energy, there is some, or there are some pains that I'm suffering. Okay, it's not like, oh, I'm the perfect guy, I live the perfect life. No, there's no perfect life. There's no perfect guy. Okay, I live with my pains, but I deal with it. And I think the difference with my passion, the difference with the love that I have for life, the difference between people that don't have the same passion for life, don't have the same love for life, is that their pains is something that bothers him or her or them more than bothers me. Right? My pain doesn't bother me too much, you know, because let's say if I have a problem, I always like to either I— if first of all, see if you can take that problem away or not today. This is the first thing. Oh, I have this problem today. Can I take this away today? No, I can't. So forget. Boom. Don't remember more. Let's live my day. Okay? Can I take it in a week? Yes, I can. Okay, I'm going to put my effort to take that problem away in a week. Okay? But some things just you can't. So pretty much when— the way I deal with my pains and with my problems, I think makes me to live a better life or not. What's the most important thing you've learned in your life?
