Reupcycle turns waste into profit by selling recycled plastic to Pakistan's textile industry, which faces regulatory mandates to use recycled content for foreign brands. Unlike previous waste-to-energy ventures, the company is already profitable and has a massive, underserved market waiting.
I've seen many waste-to-energy, waste-to-product. Why is this going to work when all those other ones didn't? So we're already making money. Like, we know it makes money. We want to go into other recyclables that are potentially also going to make money.
Well, look, I mean, I think anyone who's trying to make an effort to incentivize, you know, mass populations to recycle plastic is doing good. But obviously the question is, you know, how is this a sustainable business for you? I'm curious, is there a big market in Pakistan for these recycled plastics.
In Pakistan, it's a huge market. Like I said, we have unlimited demand and limited supply. And Pakistan's also a textile producer for a lot of foreign entities. And all these companies, they've got a mandate to put recycled things in their product that they're making. And it said it's made from recycled plastic. But then I thought, I don't think Tim goes shopping for clothes.
