Tim Draper flags "serial entrepreneur" as a red flag. The founders face questions about differentiation from competitors like Storyfile, privacy risks that could enable stalking, and whether custom manufacturing choices make sense when standard sizes could scale better.
My red flag goes up when somebody says they're a serial entrepreneur.
But with the app, with stalking, I suppose, like, why would 911 be harder to call? Because generally they listen in the background as well, right?
How are you going to compete with them when they come gunning for you because you've figured out something that's bespoke?
At the moment, I think that people are generally lazy and they don't want to spend time training models of themselves.
So there are a bunch of companies out there doing something Very similar. Storyfile is one. How are you going to step out from the crowd? How is yours, your angle better?
I guess I'm wondering why you're even custom sizing, because in my head there's not that many nail sizes, like 30 should cover it. So it feels like when you get enough data, you could just have more supply of certain nail sizes and ship them out without having to like custom print.
So if you're patient, Zero or number one. Doesn't that put a risk on the business?
