Tim Draper discusses Bitcoin's potential over the next decade. He argues Bitcoin could become a major global currency for everyday transactions like food and clothing, and prevent politicians from devaluing money because of its fixed 21 million supply.
Can you describe where you see Bitcoin in the next 10 years?
Well, I think Bitcoin could end up being one of the major currencies of the world. And if we all operated on Bitcoin, then the politicians wouldn't be able to print money. And if they don't print money, then they can't create all these wars and all of these problems for us, and they have to pay their bills.
And I think that's probably a real positive.
I think in 10 years we're going to all be able to buy our food, clothing, and shelter in Bitcoin. And I think If we can do that, then there's no reason to hold on to a fiat currency. Pay your taxes also in Bitcoin, because I think I'd much rather have hold on to a currency that was stable, you knew there are only 21 million of them in the world, than to hold on to a currency where the, the politicians can go 10 trillion of them and then suddenly the currency you're holding is worth less.
