The excerpt is a single-speaker segment (labeled SPEAKER A) in which the speaker describes the motivation for building a decentralized self-custody solution while developing a wallet SDK — covering where to store users' private keys, the limitations of multi-party computation being still semi-custodial, and the decision to build a decentralized alternative. Content appears to be an explanatory/technical discussion about wallet key custody and architecture.

Why are you doing this? Because of self-custody. Like we started— But why you? Why us? Why do you care? So we actually started doing this because we were doing a wallet SDK. And when we were building the wallets, we were like, where do we put the private keys of the users? Well, we could use multi-party computation, but it was still semi-custodial. So it was still having custody on our end. So we were like, okay, what is the decentralized solution of this? And there was no really big player in the market actually trying to solve this. And that's why we decided to actually build this ourselves.
