In Web3, open-source protocols mean anyone can build on top of existing code without legal risk. Speaker B argues this grows the whole market rather than just shifting power around, and that cooperation beats competition when the underlying technology is freely available to all.

Who has the power in the relationship with Curve Finance? You're the front to the customer, so you have the power of the customer, but it's not your technology.
That's the beauty of Web3. A lot of protocols are open source, so anyone can use it. We are working together with Curve Finance to make the pie bigger. I don't expect Curve suing us for utilizing part of their technology because it's open source anyway. I am for the cooperation over competition. Web3, it's all about decentralization and open source code, which any company can take, use, and build upon.
