This is a YouTube video titled "How a Podcast Can Boost Your Career" created in July 2025. The content features a single speaker providing advice on starting a podcast to connect with industry experts and learn about trends, emphasizing the ease and effectiveness of this approach for career growth.
Second quick win before we really dive into this. But it's an easy, easy tip. It's an advanced tip. 99% of the world won't do it, but it's extraordinarily effective and it is easy to do. Simply start a podcast that covers the trends in this new industry you are exploring now. You can write to anyone and say, hey, I'd like to showcase your expertise on my podcast. Are you available next Tuesday? You'd be amazed at how many famous people, successful people, established people in this new industry will say yes, they've got something they want to promote or it's great for their ego. People who would not meet with you face to face or take an informational meeting with you would be more than happy to do a podcast interview with you. Don't worry if you're not the next Joe Rogan or or if you're not a TV network star or what you look like, nobody cares. Chances are there aren't that many podcasts in the particular industry or niche you're in, and most of the people who are knowledgeable, especially in your own community, are probably not invited to speak on podcast very often. So it is an absolute great way of connecting with people, giving value to them first before you ask for any anything and really learning about the industry. So please, if you've never hosted a podcast, that's okay. You don't even have to listen to podcasts. I do want you to think about starting a podcast in your industry about industry trends, and you're not there as the expert. You would be there as the journalist, just asking questions about what's new.
