TJ Walker argues that watching only two movies a week frees up thousands of hours to read, build expertise, and monetize it through courses and consulting. Limiting passive screen time to roughly one hour daily is the foundation of wealth-building.

What if I told you you could get rich watching a hundred movies a year? Sound too good to be true? Well here's what I mean by that. The average person spends 4, 5, 6, 7 hours a day looking at screens, YouTube videos, movies, Netflix and it ends up being thousands of hours a year. If you limit yourself to two movies a week, that's what gives you 100 movies a year. That means you're going to limit yourself to basically one hour of video entertainment a day for most people. If you really scratch out all the other sports movies TikTok, you're going to have a tremendous amount of time. Use that time to read serious books about serious subjects and then become an expert at it and help other people create online courses, write books, consult. That is what will make you an expert. That is what will make you wealth. And you can still watch a hundred movies a year. Just no more than one hour on average per day. Please follow the TJ Walker habit.
