Todd Cirella donates a mature fig tree to North Bellmore Library's garden. The tree, grown from a cutting three years ago, produced 40 figs last year. The library also partners with a local beekeeper who maintains three hives on the grounds.
So here we are today. I'm here with Eric from the North— North Belmore Public Library. Okay, I'm donating one of my, uh, famous fig trees that I made here from a specimen, from a cutting from a brown turkey about 3 years ago. And this one is, um, probably gave me about 40 figs last year. And, uh, what do you plan to do with it?
We're going to put it in our green space and, uh, hopefully turn out some nice figs for the community.
That's awesome. Yeah. And tell them about the bees.
We're working with a local beekeeper. Um, she's She comes like once a week to check on the bees, and right now we have 3 hives. And, uh, yeah, so far so good. We're, we're cranking away. That's going to love it. It's going to— yeah, it's going to be awesome.
All right, great, man. All right, good. Lots of luck with it. Thank you. And, uh, we'll check on the progress.
