A father in Canberra realized his daughter couldn't access his cryptocurrency if he died, so he spent three hours at 1 AM drafting a legacy plan. He argues that passing wealth means nothing without teaching your kids how to actually use it, especially with digital assets.

About 5 years ago, I was living in Canberra at the time. What was going on at the time was that I was heavy into the world of cryptocurrencies. And I remember waking up one night, it was about 1 AM in the morning, and I woke up and I was in absolute tears. The reason is, is because I realized if something happened to me right now, my daughter will get nothing of the crypto because she won't know where it is. My family won't know where it is. No one I know knows how to access this part of my wealth. And I realized, oh my goodness, she's going to get nothing. I spent the next 3 hours creating an entire, entire legacy plan between the hours of 1 AM to 4 AM in the morning to make sure that if something happened to me, that everyone knows where my money is, knows where my wealth is. She knows how to access it, but more importantly, she knows how to use it. Does that make sense? Because we heard it talking about before that giving someone money, there's no value in it, right? But when you can actually teach someone how to take that and how to utilize and how to use it, then you're passing something much bigger on.
