An Australian speaker recalls agreeing to host a First Home Buyers seminar with zero stage experience. They were terrified but did it anyway, learned as they went, and that one uncomfortable event launched their speaking career.
Now, do you think I grew up as a speaker? Do you think I was just automatically a great speaker all my life and I could do all these? What do you reckon? No. No, not a chance. So when I got started in speaking, like I was talking to Jason at some point in time and they go, oh, we're thinking we might put on a First Home Buyers seminar. What do you think I did? I'll do it! I'll do it! Me! Do you think I was nervous as shit? Yeah, I hadn't spoken on stages before. I didn't know what I was doing. Did it anyway. Everything else just rolled out? That's how I got started.
