I've spent 20 years of my investment career rentvesting, and it was one of the most important and effective investment decisions that I've literally ever made. But the reason it was may actually surprise you. Now, if you don't know what rentvesting is, it's very simply that you rent where you want to live and you build an investment portfolio on the side, rather than following the usual script of buy a home and pay it off. The number of people that I have met that have followed that usual script in life, and yet going home almost feels like a drain. They look outside their window and they see the neighbor's backyard. It doesn't inspire them. It doesn't spark the joy which a home really should. Instead, what I focus on doing is that I've rented properties that have been an investment in my environment. Because when I go home and I feel inspired and I feel lifted up, I feel energized when I go home because I'm in a beautiful environment, then I can do more be more, and create more. That investment in my environment may be more money than actually buying a home and paying it off over time. And this is the type of investment that most people never actually think about. You as an individual are your greatest investment. When you can put yourself in an environment which allows you to operate at a higher frequency, at a higher level, and be more effective, be more productive, be more of you, the amount of money that can flow in there can literally double or triple.
