I was 19 years old, sitting on the cliffs in Kangaroo Point in Brisbane. I was having one of those moments in the morning where I was reflecting on the last 12 months which had just passed. On the surface, everything looked good. I was running a personal training business, I was studying at university. On the outside, I looked very fit and I looked very healthy, and everything on paper looked great. Behind the scenes, underneath, I honestly felt like I was broken. Working 17 hours a day, 6 days a week, 50 weeks of the year. My body was breaking down, my health was in tatters, my relationship was broken, and then when I looked in my bank account, well, you know what? Despite the number of hours I was working, I was still broke financially. So there has to be another way. There has to be another journey. There's something else that other people are doing that I do not know, and I have to learn about it. I started to see through the veil of just work hard and everything's gonna work out. I realized it's an absolute lie, and it changed my entire perspective on how I play the money game of life. And I learned this really valuable lesson, and it was simply this: profits are better than wages.
