So does that really mean that GDP is increasing, or does it just mean that imports went down? So, so this article is talking about the GDP increasing to an annual rate of 3%. Right. Which is a increase of the contraction that existed in the first quarter. However. Right. However, in the next article we're talking about this is that the imports were down significantly. So I was doing a little bit of research on sort of what is what GDP is composed of. So GDP is composed of consumption, like household spending on goods and services. So consumer consumption, investment, so business capital expenditures, home construction, inventories, government spending. Now add in exports, but subtract imports.
