Tom Burton (speaker/uploader) argues that across businesses the actionable plan is to create a tailwind for industries by building supportive ecosystems that overcome barriers to progress. He compares this effort to the 1960s space race—framing national/regional leadership in an emerging field as a durable, hard-to-undo advantage with large long-term upside.

Yeah and the bottom line right regardless of the business you're in the action plan is trying to put a tailwind behind you know the the industries and all the sort of ecosystem around that to make something happen right Find ways to make it happen rather than running into all the barriers and challenges of getting something done. Oh and I and I think it's it's similar in a way to kind of like the space race of the 60s and instead of the you know who's going to get to the moon first right it's going to be who is really going to be But I think the the consequences and the opportunity of this is very different than just going to the moon right Obviously there was a lot of technologies and everything that was developed as part of that process but if you actually become the leader in the field after you know X period of time right that's that's very hard to undo and there's a lot of upside and advantage for.
