There's this first article that talks about basically quarterly earnings are revealing that companies, at least from an earning perspective don't seem to be impacted too terribly by the tariffs. The tariffs may be handled by somebody other than the end consumer. We also don't have an article today but the CPI report came out. Inflation is at your 3% Kevin, that you like to advocate so much but it was less than expected. They were expecting it to be at least 3.1% and some costs were lower than expected.
I've been saying for probably a year and a half or more that we need to in my belief is we need to make some adjustments to the economic metrics that are used in this country, not get rid of them. But I have a belief that 2, 2% inflation is not a reasonable number and it was a random number that was just picked and is used around the world and we have a AI driven 24 hour news feed now these days and we have much more data that can be brought into these things than a monthly Fed meeting.
