Costco filed a lawsuit seeking refunds on Trump-era tariffs, jumping ahead of other potential claims. The speakers debate whether the company can recover meaningful money and if other businesses will follow with similar suits.
My point with all of this is it says, you know, I don't, I don't, there's no question that, that there's going to be lawsuits about it.
So let's kind of set. So the article is Costco sues for Trump tariff refund, cites imminent harm, which then I think now ties us back full circle to the, to the article here about Costco suing proactively, basically, before this is happening.
Trying to get line.
Right. They wanted to get, jump the line and get a hold of this by saying, because the Costco isn't saying, well, this is dependent upon how the Supreme Court rules as far as the refund goes. They're saying that you owe us refunds or you should refund us for all the harm and damage that you've created. You don't think that this legally. I mean, obviously Costco has a lot of intelligent and smart lawyers working on this. You don't think others are going to jump on that bandwagon? That's been. My only point is that people are.
Going to want, but they will do. My point with all of this is it says, you know, I don't, I don't. There's no question that, that there's going to be lawsuits about it. But we're at the, one, at the front of the line and two, we're leading the charge. And then if lots of other people get behind them, then maybe there's some momentum they can get out of it.
