This is a YouTube video titled "The major tipping point our economy is facing #HealthcareSpending" containing a monologue or talk discussing the projected economic impact of healthcare costs and demographic changes in the US by 2030, focusing on baby boomers and national debt. The content is from July 2025 and does not feature multiple speakers or Tom Burton.
And it does. The the bubble bursts so to say in 2030 for us because that's where you get the alignment of the demographic concerns at their greatest when what I mean by that is that is 2030 is the time where the baby boomers will be drawing down on health care or increasing health care costs. What many people in this country don't know is 90% of your lifetime health care costs come within the last 10 years of your life. It's really expensive to die in the United so 2030 is when those things come to a head not to mention like we're talking about higher interest rates continue to create this situation where the national debt continues to climb. So I saw a statistic Congressional Budget Office put this out. You might both appreciate this. In 2018, 57% of all of our spending in the US was just health care, Social Security and interest payments on the debt. By 2030, that number jumps to 70% based on some of their projections.
