A short transcript excerpt from a YouTube video discussing how AI is accelerating robotics capabilities across tasks such as packing, perimeter patrol, inventory scanning, and even fine manipulation (soldering, slicing). The speaker argues that embedding AI in robots enables learning from data and system integrations, which will drive exponential improvements — citing an 18–24 month horizon for household/cleaning-level capability improvements.

It's, it's astounding where we've come and, and where we're going to go quickly now, because the, the thing to consider I think right now is the idea of AI is involved in all of this. And what does AI do? AI wants to learn from itself. So the more data points that we feed it, I'm going to suggest it's just using a house cleaning idea, is that over time, if we're using AI in robots that are doing tasks, and this could be packing boxes, it could be walking the robot that walks out, or literally that just wanders the perimeter of your distribution facility and is a guard for your facility, but it's also scanning all of your racks of pipes and valves and fittings to make sure that the inventory levels are correct, because it's able to do that because of the AI tools and it's connecting into other systems within your company. Where we're at is just, it's astounding to see these things because this particular robot we just watched was taking a piece of fruit out and getting ready to slice it. It was soldering and doing things. So I think we're at this place now and where this is, it's going to, because of the use of AI, it's going to exponentially improve its capabilities much, much faster than we thought about, which is why I was willing to say 18 to 24 months cleaning the house.
