Short transcript excerpt from a Tom Burton leadership clip emphasizing that leaders should focus on monitoring and following a clear strategy rather than getting distracted by short-term volatility and disarray. The speaker contrasts attention to ‘disarray’ with attention to strategy and recommends the latter as healthier.
And what I'm doing here and let's go through it so that we can baseline what is the strategy, right?
Yep.
Will there be a lot, a lot of volatility and ups and downs and and dis, disarray and and all that stuff? Of course.
But again.
If you focus on the disarray, that is going to be confusing if you focus on the strategy and are you monitoring the strategy that I think is the healthier way to approach it, right.
Whether you agree with it. Right. I mean, literally what just what just came to my mind right is this is no different. If you really look at it and unpack it fully, it's no different than a small company or a large company. If your people that work with you are uninformed of the strategy, the goals and the values of your organization, you will have some chaos going on. So it's no different in this setting.
