The Fed paused rate cuts as expected. Markets show near-zero chance of cuts in March and April, but by June there's a 50% probability of a 12-basis-point cut as new Fed chair Kevin Marshall takes over. The speaker expects cuts could bring rates to three percent by year-end.

First article, fed pauses interest rate cuts and first meeting of 2025. As I don't think that was a surprise to anybody, as you probably have heard this morning. Interest first meeting and there was no interest rate cut. No surprise really to anybody. The poly market for next month is, I'm sorry, in March is pretty much nil. 92% as well. Poly market for April, 78%. No, but let's see June here. June, we're definitely starting to see some movement actually. Either a 50 12% for a 50 point basis point decrease and 36% for a 25% decrease. That's when the new chair, I believe, takes over is in the June meeting. Who was nominated today? Kevin Marshall. So anyway, not really a whole lot of surprise there on the rate cut. And like we were just saying, the market believes there could be up to two more this year. I think that's pretty accurate. With the new Fed chair coming in. I think we will see a cut probably at the June meeting. I think we'll see one more during the course of the year which will bring us down right to that three level.
