Tom thanks his 1,004 subscribers and reflects on his first year on YouTube, including his clichés video that hit 35,000 views. He talks about his noisy office, the mix of supportive and hostile comments, and encourages viewers to stick around for what's next.
Hey guys, it's Tom. You know, that clichés video that I made got kind of semi-featured and ended up having, I don't know, something like 35,000 views as a result. And from that, I got a bunch of new subscribers. And so I wanted to just take a moment to, first of all, Thank you all who subscribe and who watch my videos. The title of this video is 1004. That's how many subscribers I now have. And it's a— I've said this before on a couple of other occasions, but it's a funny and interesting experience to know that, you know, when I sit here in my office today listening to heavy construction equipment as Our neighbors, I don't know, they're— I don't know if they're burying many bodies back there, or maybe they're putting in a pool. I don't know what they're doing. Whatever they're doing, there's a lot of people working on it. It's funny to know that sitting here in my office, if I make a video and say something that now all 1,004 subscribers, however many are still here on YouTube, never watch my videos. But a lot of you do, and a lot of you comment regularly, and I've gotten to know a lot of you now. Pretty soon, another few weeks, I'll be coming up on my first YouTube anniversary of my first video that I made. And in this last year, I've had a great deal of fun meeting a lot of people. There's a lot of jerks out there, but there's not nearly as many jerks as there are great people. So, you know, 1,004 subscribers, uh, it's a really cool milestone for me, and, uh, I appreciate your interest, and I really appreciate the conversations that we've had and the things that I've learned from you and from people you've pointed me towards. There's a lot of enormously talented folks out here, so thank you very much, and, um, you know keep watching. Who knows, we're gonna do some more interesting things here together. I know we are.
