Tom Guarriello is heading to TED2008 in Monterey, where this year's theme is "The Big Questions." He'll be video-blogging the conference over the next four days and sharing what the speakers have to say.
Oh, hi, it's Tom Guarriello. This has been a really exciting week. I've been traveling in— I was in San Francisco, arrived there on Friday and spent the weekend there at the, at the gathering and met a lot of fellow YouTubers, and it was really terrific there. And, you know, got to meet up with some friends and to talk about some really exciting things that I'll be talking more about a little bit coming up here in the future. But also, this is a week every year that I really look forward to because it's the week that I get to come to the TED conference. And the TED conference is just a tremendous experience every year. I will put the link up here to TED.com and to the TED channel here on YouTube for you to see the kind of exciting and stimulating and amazing things that go on here at TED every year here in Monterey. Uh-oh, wait, gotta stop. So I look forward to this every year because it's really a great, just a great opportunity to get away from day-to-day things and to really experience some incredible, incredible thinkers and meet new people. And it's just really one of the highlights of my year. So, What I always do every year is to try to blog TED. It doesn't— I do a bad job of blogging TED. This year, I'm going to try to video blog TED. So I will point you to some great TED blogs, however, where you will see some of the masters who really, really know how to blog TED. But I'm going to do my best to keep you up on some of the great speakers who are going to be here. I can't even— I mean, the theme for this year's TED is "The Big Questions," you know? So that big question mark right there is really the kind of thing that really makes TED a tremendously stimulating and fun experience.
