So I don't know if you know this, but the state of Texas used to have an electric chair for their capital punishment. They've since changed to lethal injection, but this story took place back when they still had an electric chair. And in fact, they had— part of the law in Texas was that if they tried to execute you but for some reason it didn't work, you got to go free. So these 3 prisoners were on death row and they were all set to go, and And one of them, first one comes out and sits in the electric chair and they strap him in. And the warden says to him, "Son, you got any last words?" And the prisoner says, "Well, sir, I do. I'm a God-fearing Baptist from Texas Christian University and I believe the Lord's gonna save me." Warden says, "Okay." Hit it. The guy throws the switch. Nothing. Haha! The guy goes, Lord be saved! Gets out of the electric chair. He's free. Here comes the next guy. Same thing. Put him in the chair. Strap him into the chair. Goes in. Warden says, Son, got any last words? The prisoner says, Well, sir, I'm a God-fearing Methodist from Southern Methodist University, and I believe I am gonna be saved by the Lord. Okay, here we go. He throws the switch. Nothing. Woo-hoo-hoo! Runs out happy as can be. Here comes the third guy. Put him in, strap him into the chair. Warden says to him, "Son, you got any last words?" And the guy goes, "Well, sir, I'm an electrical engineer from Texas Tech, and I believe you put that red wire where that green wire is at, and we get this show on the road."
