Tom, a psychologist, apologizes to Perry for misreading a song as being about him during E-Nation drama. He reflects on how memory fails everyone, even trained therapists, and how clients often assume credentials mean infallibility. Tom hopes Perry and Paul can resolve their conflict.

Hey guys, it's Tom. You know, had I intended to make a better object lesson for us all about the, let's call it the creative potential of memory and of our minds, I couldn't have done a better job than I did in that video that I made about 'Perry and Paul.' In that video, I talked about a song that I believed was about me that Perry had written months and months ago, and that if you've watched Perry's latest response video, was not about me. Now, at the time when that song was written, um, this whole— excuse me— E-Nation drama was in a pretty intense stage. At least it was for me, and it looked like it was for everybody else. And so I felt like that was in reference to some things that were going on within our group. It turns out that it's not true. So apologies to Perry, and also I'm reminded of some of the things that used to happen when I was a therapist. And the things that used to happen would be that people who I would be seeing in therapy and counseling, marriage counseling and so on, would say things like, well, you know, I've got all these problems, but you know, you don't know anything about those because, you know, you're a 'You're a psychologist, you know, and you've got a Ph.D.' And you— and I— and, uh, what I had to tell people was that when they give you the degree, they don't give you shots, you know. You don't— you're not immune to the stuff of life. Um, you go through the same things that everybody else goes through, which means, um, making mistakes misinterpreting things and having the same kind of challenges and problems that everybody else does. So Perry, my friend, I'm sorry that I made that misinterpretation. I'm happy that that song wasn't about me, frankly. And I sure hope that this thing between you and Paul can end up with the kind of smile that I hope this ends up with between yourself and myself. I saw your video and see that I think we've probably come to a, a pretty clear understanding that this was a mistake. So thanks a lot, and I'll see you guys again soon. Bye-bye.
