Well, hi, it's Tom. Why am I a Democrat in 2008? Well, I'm 60 years old, and this election is taking place at a time when the United States is facing greater challenges than I can ever remember in my lifetime. Social, political, economic, environmental— each of these areas are extraordinarily difficult for us now, and each of them demands innovative solutions, new ways of looking at things, new ways of getting people to work together in order to to solve these problems. Now, of the two major candidates running for president, which of those two is more likely to adopt an innovative approach to those solutions? Which of those two is more likely to learn how to listen in different ways? Which of those two candidates is going to instill the kind of confidence and enthusiasm in the United States citizenry, as well as for citizens all over the world, in order to approach those problems? I think the answer is clear. I I think Barack Obama is the more innovative candidate of the two, the candidate who is more likely to energize the American population towards finding innovative solutions to all of the difficult problems that we face. So for that reason, I'm a Democrat in 2008 and will be voting for Senator Barack Obama. Thanks.
