The video presents a bilingual (Spanish‑English) staged reading titled “El Primer Viaje,” in which a cast of speakers (A‑G) narrates the story of a young man’s first airplane trip. The performance weaves poetic descriptions of travel, memory, family advice, and existential reflection, interlaced with cultural references to ancestry, burial customs, and the ritual of preparation before departure. The narrative follows the protagonist from the chaotic airport, through seat‑changing negotiations, to the take‑off and the emotional landscape of seeing new mountains and skies, culminating in a moment of gratitude toward the audience and the venue (Café Arte). The piece blends lyrical language, humor, and meta‑commentary, ending with thanks from the performers for the opportunity to share the work, highlighting community support and artistic expression.

Todos somos viajantes. Mixing all kinds of things. We all are travelers, and the main goal of travel is to get to know ourselves.
Hola. Buonanotte.
Good night. Good night. Are you all here waiting for the next airplane? Yeah, I was seated here and then I listened to one old wise man telling me the story of this young man when he has His first ever travel.
His room.
All the luggage is all over the place.
The memories, pictures, letters, posters, and his brand new camera on his neck.
He was so excited that he almost had no sleep. At all during all the night, so he has a lot of darkness going into the airport. Hehe. Here, with all that people around and all over the place, strangers walking and running one side to the other, His family hugging him, laughing, and his grandmother.
Mm-hmm.
And in the middle of all that chaos in the airport, there was this little girl running all around the place, between the legs of the people there, jumping and laughing until the moment he arrived.
Mierda.
So the little kid, the young kid, took his luggage and started to board his first airplane. It is prohibited to look back. He was in the middle of all those strangers going into the airplane, and his heart has a little break the moment that he arrived.
His seat.
Because the little kid wanted it to be perfect and have a seat next to the window. And guess what? This seat was not next to the window. It was next to another person. Until the moment that a flight attendant came next to him and he— she said that she needed him to change sheets. Because she had one mother that needed an extra seat for her kids so they don't start to cry all fly long. So they were asking the kid in order to change the seats.
It's new shit.
In the moment the airplane depart and rise from the earth Back there, away, the big mountains and the sun painting the whole sky yellow, orange, and red. And the Kit turning himself into a crying machine, taking pictures one after the other, capturing every single moment of his travel in his digital heart, finding in that very same place Happiness.
You are so excellent, and for the fun of you are so Outside! His mountains, there were no more his mountains. There were other ones. They changed. The sky changed. The clouds changed.
Ah!
Ajantixa, go! He took all his luggage with him and went all the way around to the customs. Did all the paperwork until the moment he arrived to the portal that separated this whole brand new world in front of him from the previous one that he was leaving behind.
Aún eres muy pequeña para entender esto. Mierda.
