Real estate agent Trena Heine returns to Tombstone, Arizona to see how Wendy's sight-unseen purchase at 107 South 13th Street transformed over a year. Wendy gutted and rebuilt the kitchen, replaced all flooring, repainted every room, updated bathrooms, and added an outdoor kitchen and patio. She's happy with the remote buying process and the community.

This is one year update with Wendy, who bought this property and moved to Tombstone. Welcome inside. Ah, this is beautiful. And that's Chenza. She wants to be in the video.
All right, she's gonna take us around and show us the house. So this was all redone with paint and just replacing the floor.
That's so—
the flooring was concrete. The walls were yellow, bright yellow. The, the window coverings had to be changed out, um, and these are all thermal window coverings. This is the new living room. Puppy for sale. I painted over the ripped paper mache that they had. I didn't care for that look. So I painted all of that. That's all this is, is all the paint. This had that dark gray tile. It just darkened the room.
Yeah, it's so much lighter now.
Yes, yes, so cozy. No more primary colors. Yeah, the kitchen was, uh, pretty much gutted and redone.
Um, and you found the secret window.
Yes, that's a secret window that was there and they covered it up. And then of course the paneling, and I ripped out all the old cabinets. Yeah, all the plywood is gone. This is all—
can't—
new cabinets from Home Depot, uh, quartz countertop. Yeah, it looks amazing compared to what it did. Yeah, it does.
All right, and then this is the master bedroom.
Yeah, I love the only bedroom— well, the master bedroom.
I love the green.
Yeah, that was that dark purple. Yeah, all the way around. Yeah, and it had those shutters with the wood on them that sticks— wooden sticks that were filthy.
Yeah, now there's so much light in here.
Yeah.
Oh, and I love your bathtub.
Yes, so that was just basically repainted. That's pretty much how that one was recently done. You have a lot of birds here.
Yes, nice to listen to in the morning.
So this was just painted over with concrete paint and sealed, but it was so dark gray that it had to get lightened up in here. This room doesn't have any windows, so this was— yeah, dark purple walls.
And I love your accent wall. Yeah, and your cozy fireplace.
A lot of paint.
Yeah, a lot of coats of paint.
A lot of coats of paint in every room. Every inch of this house was painted. This would be, I guess, the second bedroom.
Um, and then did you—
I painted, I just painted the aqua.
Yeah, to brighten it up.
Yeah, it was pretty dark. I haven't redone none. The sink area. A lot of paint's drying. This was a dark red, deep red, really icky paint.
Oh, I love your view. It's so bright in here.
It is surprising what a little bit of paint—
oh, that will do.
Well, back here it was that— oh, that red was adorable.
It's—
yeah, this is— and then your patio out here, retractable door.
Um, this is— I'm sorry I didn't clean this up, but it's all good. They have an outdoor kitchen here. Um, I just cleaned it up a little bit with that stuff on the walls, and I gotta get my tools out of here. But all of this was painted, repainted. It was a gray, like a shipyard gray. It was horrible in color. Fresh and new, it feels better. I mean, I still have work to do.
Yeah, but the improvements in a year is amazing. And then you found your old fence.
Yeah, their old fence went down with my hand.
It fell right down. Um, so, and that was a big tall 6 foot wooden fence. Yeah, back here. And yes, I see the back.
Hi, I'm Trena Heine, and I'm here at 107 South 13th Street in Tombstone, Arizona, and I sold Wendy this house a year ago. And all the renovations you did, it's just beautiful. How do you like living here?
Yeah, I like— I love it. I love it. Uh, the town is wonderful. The house isn't too far away from anything. I love it. Yeah, it's a great little city. The people are wonderful. I've been here a year now. There's a lot to do. Surprisingly, you would think there wouldn't be, um, but there is. And there's the views from this house are beautiful. I got the mountains. Yeah, we did good. Yeah, it was a lot of work, but it was worth that.
Yeah, it's beautiful.
Yeah, and it was great, great working with Trena. She found this house for me, and I bought it sight unseen. Yeah, we did videos, we did the calls, videos, lots of calls, lots of emails. Yeah, but it worked out, you know, it's structurally sound, and that was my basic wants and needed. By doing it online, you you need somebody to go in, and she came in with her husband who does construction work and understands what is solid and what isn't. So they walked through the house prior, and, um, that's all I needed really. Yeah, you know. Yeah, so it was a great experience. I mean, and then I drove here and I've got to move like right in. Yeah, so that wasn't even an issue. Yeah. It was great. It worked out great, all this online stuff.
And here's to many more years.
And yep, thank you very much. I'm not going anywhere. That was a lot of work. Not for a while.
Here is the beautiful mountain view from Wendy's house. All right, let's go.
