Short YouTube clip by Trenton Luera describing a tactic to get college coaches to respond to recruits: send highly personalized DMs that use the coach's name plus unique player characteristics as a subject line, and keep the message short with highlights. The speaker claims one California recruit received interest from three coaches in one day and reports a ~10% response rate; he offers a free spreadsheet of 6,000+ college coach emails via Instagram DM and promotes the Scholarship Accelerator program.

This recruit just got three interested coaches today. That's right. This one recruit in California who's only 5A got three interested coaches just today. And I'm going to share with you how we did it. First, if you want a spreadsheet with 6,000 plus college coaches emails, DM me the word email on Instagram and I'll send it to you for free. So how we did this was actually really simple. All we did is make really, really personalized messages. You'll notice in the subject, which is a little hack that we use is it is their name while also some of the unique characteristics of of this player. It immediately catches their attention because most DMs are either sending a link or they're just saying hey Coach, blah blah. So we're immediately standing out in the sea of recruits in their DMs. Then from there we write a short message with the highlights and usually the coach gets back to us. In this case, we're already seeing a 10% response rate which if you don't know, pretty crazy. So if you're seeing this, be sure to use those subject lines in your DMs when sending the college coaches. It's just like an email, but works even better. It's what we're using with all of recruits inside Scholarship Accelerator and we're seeing some crazy results.
