A big mistake parents make in the recruiting process

This is the number one thing I hear from recruits and parents about the mistake that they made in college football recruiting. I've talked to plenty of recruits and parents as I've gone through the recruiting process myself and now help parents and players with the process. I received 25 plus scholarship offers going through my recruiting process now. One of the common things that I always hear is I wish we would have started this process earlier. We always thought that our high school coach was going to take care of it for us and now it seems like we really have to just do this on our own if this is a sad realization for many and just comes way too late in the process. Now luckily there was still time and oftentimes we're still able to help them get offers, but it's not quite the situation that they were hoping for or probably could have gotten if they started earlier. My recommendation to anyone who thinks it might be too early is to still start the process. Start doing research, start going to camp, start reaching out to coaches.
