This is the biggest change I've seen in college football recruiting since the Transportal. So I just went through the recruiting process myself and also help recruits and parents go through the recruiting process. One of the biggest observations I've seen this year is the fact that things are happening earlier now. This has been a common trend. You've seen fifth, sixth, seventh graders just get insane offers. That's not really what I'm talking about. I'm talking about legit offers and pwos coming a lot earlier than usual. A PWO is a preferred walk on. I just saw this with the O lineman that I worked with. He was getting PWO offers before the season even begun. And this wasn't even from Power 5 programs. This is from FCS programs. On top of that, I just heard one of my D linemen that I work closely with. He got a group of five PWI offer and he's a junior now. It doesn't really make a lot of sense to me, but I'm not a current college coach. It just seems like they're recruiting the high school guys and picking out the top guys that they want a little bit earlier than anybody else they might offer.
