Short YouTube clip by Trent (Trenton) Lore advising high-school athletes on college football recruiting. Main claim so far: poor high-school grades are the single biggest reason athletes won’t be recruited (establishing bad habits, difficulty balancing academics/athletics in college). The speaker also promotes a free spreadsheet of 6,000+ college coaches' emails available via his bio link.

If you're an athlete trying to get recruited to play college football, this is how you can tell if you're cooked and not going to get recruited. If you're new here and don't know who I am, I'm Trent Lore. I'm a former college quarterback. So be sure to follow for more content like this. And also I have a free spreadsheet of 6000/plus college coaches emails that save you hundreds of hours. You can go to the link in my bio and grab it for free. So to me, there's two that are big and then the rest are little minor things that probably will still cost you a scholarship. So number one, I'm going to go with grades because that's the big one. If you're not getting good grades in high school, you're cooked. Like, I know there's a couple guys out there that like, they mess up in the beginning because they just didn't think it was that important. Then they realize like junior, maybe senior year. That's like a rare case if somebody could save their grades or senior year. But you're just like establishing bad habits. You have a bad mindset, you're not learning anything and there's no way you're going to be successful in college. Even if you did somehow pass the minimum GPA requirement to go to D1 or D2 school, you're going to have a tough time there balancing the academics and athletics. And you can think all you want.
