Now, you probably have heard your high school coach say to you, play well and college coaches will find you. Now, while you do have to play good to actually get recruited and get college football scholarships, and I get where they're coming from because they don't want you to be distracted by recruiting, it's not true. Just because you play well on the field doesn't mean a college coach is going to recruit you in the first place. Because how are they supposed to recruit you if they don't even know who you are? You can play so well, get known in your local newspaper, everybody in your area knows that you're the best player. But still, someone else in your area could play the recruiting game better, get the attention of college coaches and get recruited way more than you. So instead of letting someone else take care of your recruiting like your high school coach, take control of your recruiting yourself. Put yourself out there on social media, reach out to coaches directly, Play well and make sure coaches know that you're playing well. That's the key to recruiting success because you got to this point by doing the work yourself. So what's stopping you from doing the same with recruiting?
