The video warns student‑athletes that they may be missing direct messages from college coaches on X because notifications are disabled or messages are filtered. It provides a step‑by‑step guide: (1) enable push notifications for Direct Messages via Settings → Privacy → Notifications → Preferences → Push Notifications; (2) check X Chat by tapping the All button, then open the Requests tab to see messages from users you don’t follow; (3) also open the Other tab to view messages routed to low‑priority or spam folders. The presenter stresses checking these sections daily and replying to coaches immediately to avoid losing recruiting opportunities. Finally, viewers are invited to comment “X” for a follow‑up showing how to craft a reply to a coach.
