Talent is overrated in recruiting. It's harsh, but true. I've seen undersized recruits with less talent get offers over recruits from competitive programs and solid film. The difference is that the less talented recruit got themselves known as a solution. Because coaches need solutions, but they also need to know about those solutions. And so your goal when reaching out to college coaches should be two things. Number one, present yourself as a solution. So make sure your highlight video, your profile, everything you can is optimized to show the coach what they want to see. And then number two, make sure the coach knows about that. Because if your emails are going to spam, if your DMs aren't getting read, then no matter what you say in your email or how your highlights look, it's it doesn't matter. Because in recruiting, the best player doesn't always get recruited. It's the best player that is known to the coaches. So be the best known solution to a coach's problem.
