If you're trying to get a college level scholarship, you have to understand not all scholarships are equal. Now what do I actually mean by that? Now the most obvious answer is scholarship amounts. Not all scholarships are going to give you the same amount of money. Now you may be thinking, oh, Division one level nil differences is not. I'm not even talking about that. At the FCS and below levels, you can get partial scholarships. So that means one school could offer you 100% scholarship. Covering your full tuition means $0 out of your pocket. And another school could offer you 50%. Or you're having to pay thousands or even tens of thousands out of your pocket. But besides the scholarship amounts, you also have to consider the likelihood to accomplish your goals. Like likelihood to get the degree you want or likelihood to play. Those things are also important based on what you consider important in your recruiting. Because maybe for you, you don't care as much about the scholarship amounts and that's perfectly fine too. And maybe your number one goal is to play at the highest division level possible. Awesome. Then select the school that's best for you on that. For me, it was about making sure that I got as close to zero as possible for paying for my degree.
