Coaches need to trust you when they're offering you tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in money. And so you have to show them why they can trust you, why they can like you. And ultimately, you want them to love you. You want them to be like, man, I want this kind of kid in my locker room. Now, this all comes down to building some kind of connection. You want to make sure to follow up with that coach. You want to make sure to ask them great questions, have some great conversations. If you're doing that for a prolonged amount of time and doing that, then you should end up building a strong relationship with which eventually leads to an offer. Now, sometimes relationships don't always go smoothly, and sometimes you have to get aggressive. So just you want this coach to like you doesn't mean you shouldn't necessarily always be the nice guy. When it comes to recruiting, you want to be aggressive. Ask the tough questions as well, because that is going to also get them to respect you. These coaches don't want players to just sit around passively. They want action takers. So make sure you're taking action during this relationship building stage.
