If your son is a rising junior, this is your recruiting playbook. If you haven't, you need to get on X and you need to create a highlight video. X is where 90% of recruiting happens, and that highlight video is going to be how coaches actually know he's good. Now, once you have those two things, you @ least have a solid foundation. Now, the whole goal of these camps is, yes, number one, to get some exposure, but number two is to build relationships with these coaching staffs. So make sure you use the opportunity after the camp to talk to the coaches and get clear feedback on if that division level is right for you, if that school is right for you, or if there's not. Your camps are going to be in the season. This is where your money is made. Junior year. Your film is the most critical film of your entire high school career. It's what most Division 1 schools base their evaluation process on. So you need to make sure that you're getting as good as film as possible. That means every single week, updating your highlight videos, posting updates on your stats and film, doing everything you can to get your name out there during this time, and especially because this is the first season that coaches can actually reach out to you throughout the season and during this entire time, from start to finish, you should be reaching out to college coaches because ultimately no coach is just going to randomly stumble across as experts.
