Short YouTube advice clip (creator: Trenton Luera) about common mistakes recruits make during college football recruiting — specifically that players often publicly share unimpressive performance metrics (e.g., slow 40-yard dash times) which can hurt their chances. The video also includes a call-to-action offering a free spreadsheet of college coaches' emails via Instagram DM.

This is a huge mistake I see a lot of recruits make with the recruiting is they tell College coaches their 40 time when the 40 time isn't impressive at all. A great example of that I see a lot of offensive linemen have their Twitter profile, everything looks good and then they have their 40 time on there. It's like a 5.8 40 time. But first, if you want a free spreadsheet of 6000 plus college coaches emails, all you have to do is DM me the word email on Instagram, I'll send it to you for free. And now no one's expecting a high 40 time out of an offensive lineman, but there's no need for you to show college coaches for that. First off, they aren't directly asking you. If they ask you directly, you can answer that question and tell them the truth. But also by showing this, you're giving them information that may cause them to be like, eh, don't really want them same. Even if you're a receiver or quarterback or running back that doesn't have a great 40 time or a great bench press, but you're putting it out there to the world, you shouldn't be doing that. You're going to be hurting your chances before you even talk to a college coach. Anything you directly include to a college coach without them asking should be stuff that actually helps you and doesn't hurt you in the recruiting process. And that's the mistake that I see a lot of people make is they include stuff that just.
